Beginners Guide on What to Bring During Your Run

Are you a beginner runner and don’t know what to bring during your jog? Here are a few items you don’t want to leave behind at home while you’re training.

Running Shoes 

I highly suggest getting fitted at a local store that records you when you run. Having good shoes that are meant for your feet will save you injuries in the long run. It’s better to spend a little more on good running shoes than a doctor’s visit for an injury that could have been prevented.

Road ID Bracelet

It's more of a safety measure, highly suggest purchasing a medical ID because you just never know what may happen during your workout. 



You could spend $20 - $300 depending on what functions you’re into distance/time/GPS/heart rate monitor. A watch is there to have a quick glance on time. I highly recommend getting watches that light up, especially if you’re jogging before sunrise or after sunset.

Smartphone and Earbuds

If you want to listen to music or a book go ahead and bring your smartphone along with you during your workout. There are also a lot of FREE apps out there that will track your distance, timing, etc.

Running Shorts
